Type from family not coming in from family

So I built a family that has three different types. it is a generator silencer. Whichever type is last saved is the only type that is available if i try to use the other types i get this error message:



In the family all of the dimensions are parameters so to create a new type I just tell it the duct size coming into it and it re-sizes. This is my first full parametric family so i'm not sure what went wrong?

This usually happens when one of the values in the new type isn't valid. Revit doesn't like making something nothing so a length parameter that is too small will cause the error. Similarly if one parameter changes and has a corresponding affect on another and that new value results in a solid form that can't be made...error. Have a close look at each parameter value for each type, make sure they makes sense for each condition. If you still can't figure it out then maybe you can post a copy of the file here?

Hmm interesting, there are 3 types in the family 12" 14" and 16" I can pull each up in the family file and when I save the family with any of them active only that one will come into the project so they all work but alone. I would hate to have to save the family as three separate files.

I attached the family, this is my first family of this level parametric wise so feel free to give advise!
