Duct size inch marks remove from duct size tag

Hello,

I am working on some duct tags, see link for the different types of tags I am currently preparing for this office's revit template.

On the left is the standard tag. I was able to remove the inch ticks (") by going to project units - HVAC - Duct size - Decimel Inches - None.

The other two tags, which point out the overall duct size and the inside duct size are not able to have these inch ticks removed...I tried changing the project unit settings for duct insulation and duct internal lining but this does not seem to affect the inch ticks.

Any ideas?

Try editing the label in the tag family. The inch ticks might be suffixes attached to the parameters in the label.

Hiya Mate,

What Parameters are you using to determine the dimensions for the insulated and lined ducts? I've tried it with Overall Size and Free Size and to get the ticks (or in my case mm) to disappear all you need to do is change the Duct Insulation and Duct Lining units to none in the Project Units, this for some reason doesn't refresh/regen instantly so to get the change to take effect you need to either click the tag you want to change or tag a new piece of duct instead. I don't quite understand why it doesn't instantly update as it does with the Duct Size Parameter, I guess it's just a very weird quirk with Revit.

If changing the project units to remove the (") suffix of the duct size doesn't work, you may want to take a look at your mechanical settings. Under Manage-MEP Settings-Mechanical Settings-Duct Settings check to make sure you don't also (") listed as the "Rectangular Duct Size Suffix" here.
