Default Set View Range for a Plan View in 3D View

Summary: I know that when you're in a 3D view, you can orient to view a plan view. It would be nice to have the ability to alter the view range of a plan view by being able to see it in a 3D view - meaning, that you can see and set the cut plane, top plane, bottom plane, and beyond plane in a 3D view for a PLAN VIEW.

this should be also done for the beams
also, there should be option to avoid joining even befor modeling
also, there should be option to select allow/disallow for one or both ends.

You can do this with the "Selection Box". The Selection Box option is in the property browser. Just check mark the option, adjust your box in the model, then hide the Selection Box.
