    Default .dwg file corrupt?

I keep getting an error when importing this file. Is it corrupted? If someone could open, resave and repost here I would appreciate it.

    Thank you.

You didn't upload a file. You can access the file upload utility by clicking on the Go Advanced button when replying. Have you tried the RECOVER command instead of opening the file?

You may try the "Restore" command in AutoCAD to restore the corrupt file.

    Good luck!

There is no "restore" command in AutoCAD. Perhaps you mean RECOVER?

    Code:
    Command: restore
Unknown command "RESTORE". Press F1 for help.

When you try to load the file, watch the command line to potentially see where it is hanging up when you try to open the file. First open a new session of AutoCAD with a blank DWG. Expand your command line vertically so that you are able to see 5-10 lines (this will be helpful when watching the file try to open. If it has any XREFs, one of them is the actual cause of the issue. Watching how it loads and where it errors will help you deduce the cause.

With a new DWG open in a session of AutoCAD, enter RECOVER into the command line.
Navigate to and select the DWG giving you a hard time.

The amount of time to recover a file will vary greatly depending on the size of the file, the issue(s) involved and the speed of both your network and PC.

If the drawing file in question has XREFs, you may want to issue the command RECOVERALL instead. This will recover the host file and all of its XREFs.
