Make migration to new releases easier.

Summary: I want interactive choices and reports when migrating from an old release to a new release.

Description: It would be nice when migrating from an older release to a newer release that the migration utility would pause to ask the user what they want to do with conflicts in settings and paths.

Such pauses should be optional. If the pauses are turned on; the utility could ask the user to:

1. Keep the recommended setting in the new release.

2. Replace the recommended setting in the new release with the old release's setting.

3. Keep both where applicable (e.g. paths)

The ability to export a settings report would be helpful. Right now I make screen grabs of each dialog box of the old release to aid in migrating to the new release. This is tedious to put it mildly.

A better step by step manual would indeed be nice.
Especially with regards to customisations. A good installer should ask if you want to keep customisations like in the ribbon, keys and system options, modified hole tables etc from a detected earlier version. Seeking out the project files and settings (material libraries etc) there in and keping and/or moving those to match the new system / file locations etc and then de install the old, if so selected by the user, and install the new with these customisations in place.

There are so many things we can change... it is TO easy to overlook a customisation and then not being able to retrieve it (easily).
