Default BO202-1: Creating a Community Strategic Plan

    Instructor: Beverly Arnoldy

Class Description: Whether you are a newly-established local community or your community has been in existence for a few years, the one common challenge is the ability to sustain a successful community beyond the initial couple of years of its existence. Does your community have the infrastructure in place to survive departures of key contributors? There are two elements critical to maintaining a successful community over the long run. The first element is the establishment and maintenance of a community strategic plan. The second element is the establishment and execution of guidelines regarding succession planning. This course, which focuses on the process of creating and maintaining a strategic plan, is one of three community courses being taught at AU. During the course, attendees will create a strategic plan for their community.
