    Default UT204-1: Using AutoCAD

    Instructor: Andrew Warren

Class Description: Do you design power distribution substations? Thinking something might be better? In this class, we will learn how to use Inventor to design substations for power distribution. We will cover designing lace-up type towers and bays, low profile design, and all of the switches, breakers, transformers, and insulators. Learn how to test the clearances of all of the buses and cables running all over the place in a substation. Also learn how to use all of that legacy data most utilities have from the past 100 years. When designing something of this size and scale, you run into some unique situations that someone designing a vacuum cleaner does not have. We will include tips and tricks for making it easier, as well as the pitfalls to watch out for.
