custom Mullion family

Hello,

I needed to join 2 horizontal custom profiled mullions and after talking to Autodesk Technical Support found that I could not make them to join if distance to edge of curtain wall is lower than 255mm.

While trying to find a work around I created a Generic Model corner mullion family. I am able to flex this family to suit different angles but once I set it to join a 90d angle the family breaks and becomes stuck to that angle. I mean, I am unable to type a different angle.

Also, at the interior corner of the mullion, I am also unable to set its distance to 0 so that I can perfectly align this generic family to the existing curtain wall.

Any comments on the generic family much appreciated.

A couple things.
I think your glazing is in the wrong spot, that may or may not be causing some of the issue.
I made this (see attached) in Revit 2015, that might make a difference...?
Lastly, I don't think you "need" to create the slit for the insulated glazing to fit in. You can do this by using a detail component from Kawneer, EFCO or any of the major suppliers.mullion detail join.JPG
