Default MP204-2: Coordinating Architectural Models in Autodesk Revit MEP

    Instructor: Eric Kuszewski

Class Description: MEP engineers have varied relationships with their architectural partners. Some work closely as part of the same organization. Others work in a consulting relationship which may be symbiotic, or occasionally more adversarial. The move to utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) requires closer coordination than ever, and we will explore the technical implications of this relationship in this class. We will address the importance of communication and planning to make a BIM project successful for all disciplines involved. We will explore the right questions to ask when beginning a Revit MEP project, the right technical strategies for your specific project and circumstances, and setting expectations for the proper level of detail in your model. A little planning goes a long way towards a successful multidisciplinary BIM project, and we will give you the framework for a successful MEP gameplan.
