Default CV322-4: Surveyors Digging Pipes! Pipe Networks for Land Surveyors

Instructor: Jordy Brouwers with Cristian Otter

Class Description: You have automated your surveying data collection to the point that you are "cranking out" topographic base plans like crazy to your engineers, but they are still complaining that they want MORE! What else is there, you ask? Pipe Networks for Land Surveyors! For many years, we have recorded our pipe information by hand, calculated inverts by hand, and labeled by hand. Yuck! Learn how to turn those pipe inverts and structures into usable AutoCAD® Civil 3D® pipe networks so your engineers can design around them. You routinely create surfaces, alignments, and cut profiles for them, so why not give them what they need: existing pipe networks! Another scenario: you are asked to perform an as-built conditions survey for a road acceptance plan. You are asked to provide a plan and profile in support of the project. Do you collect your data and finish by hand or do you automate? Learn how to take advantage of a design tool to make your surveys shine.
