Default Revit server supporting previous Revit version models

So we are in the early stages of testing Revit server for potential deployment between our ATL and DC offices. Virtually all our projects are in revit 2014 (with no plans to upgrade until 2016 releases). And we have been told that Revit Server 2015 will support 2015 and older (2014) file versions. However, I can't find anything to support this. Should we be running Server 2014 with Revit 2014 and Server 2015 with Revit 2014?

I believe the safest method is to install each version that you need. We found Revit Server slow and poor performance. It's definitely a shoe string budget. There are other options like Advance 2000 or Green BIM Servers to name a couple that will handle Revit AND any other format you need.

Revit Server can be extremely time consuming, model locks, and sometimes lose work, but its free and nothing beats free. Good luck

Have you been able to use Revit 2014 with Revit Server 2015?

Revit Server 2015 can coexist with Revit Server 2014 on the same machine, but I didn't know that you can work with Revit 2014 models on a Revit Server 2015.

No. We honestly haven't tried, and I don't reslish the idea of trying things, simply because I was told something by a reseller that doesn't seem to be true. We have just followed SRobbins1977's advice and will install an instance of revit server with each deployment.
