    Default global/imperial

I just upgraded to the latest version of AutoCAD MEP. Is there a way to set the profile permanently? Every time I open a file I have to go into the options menu and change my profile from global to imperial. In 2010 the two where "separate" I just had to choose the right Icon on my desktop. Now either I've loaded my software incorrectly or they are combined. Thanks, Eric

    Welcome to the AUGI forums!

How are you starting AMEP 2015? Are you starting from a desktop shortcut, or just by double-clicking on a DWG file in Windows Explorer?

If you chose to do so, you could have a desktop shortcut for each profile you installed. If you are starting the program from a desktop shortcut, check its Properties, on the Shortcut tab, to see what is in the Start in edit box. My AMEP 2015 Start in string reads as follows:
    "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2015\acad.exe" /ld "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2015\AecBase.dbx" /p "AutoCAD MEP (US Imperial)" /product "MEP" /language "en-US"

Note in particular the quoted string following the profile switch, /p. This specifies the profile that should be set current when starting AMEP 2015 from this shortcut. In this case, the AutoCAD MEP (US Imperial) profile is set current. Perhaps yours indicates AutoCAD MEP (Global).

David, Thanks! that was easy enough, I right-clicked on the shortcut I was using then found the properties and typed in US imperial in the place of global. When I opened AutoCAD the profile was correct.
