    Is there a workarround how to setup a family for 3d (fine) and 2d (course)

    If I understood your question, you want to make a family that will show up a 3D geometry at fine and 2d at coarse.
    In this case you have to create a 3D geometry and in the visibility settings, uncheck course and medium, them you create model lines or detail lines, depending on you goal, and in the visibility settings of the lines, uncheck fine.
    Doing so you will have 3d at fine and 2d at medium and coarse.
