Default Cant See electrical components symbols above cut plane

As title really. I have checked all the usual suspects I think, but still cant see any components or at least the annotation symbol for say a socket or data device above the cut plane level on my floor plans. The architecture is linked into the electrical file. The view range is as follows:

    Top@2400 above associated level
    Cut Plane@1200 associated level
    Bottom@0 of associated level
Depth is @ 0 of associated level.

I can see all components below the cut plane and I can also see some component tags that are above the plane but not the components.

I have checked the visibility settings in the families and these seem ok

I have check a different file and this is fine I can set sockets as high as the ceiling and still see them so its just on this template??

Just don't know whats going on here?

Worksets? Filters? The little "show only if instance is cut" checkbox in the families themselves?

An old thread, but I may be able to help here.

Wall based......Go into the family and add an invisible model line from the origin point to the FFL and apply all necessary locks.
Face based......Go into family and create a reference plane to imitate a FFL, create parameter calling it say 'Height above FFL' then add an invisible model line from the origin point to the FFL and apply all necessary locks.

This is effectively convincing Revit that there is still some part of the family within the cut plane, thus allowing the annotation to appear
