    Default Content Studio

No add here, just wondering if anyone else has used it and or has any comments on it.
We just bought it (sadly I don't think we did enough testing to see if it really works as expected) and I'm looking for any feedback anyone else might have.
While it looked really good on it's face, we've found a few things that may make it not work so well.
Just wondering what others experiences are.
Any permissions issues, issues with users accidentally overwriting families, access issues, anything.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Dave,

We have bought it and launched recently (last three or four weeks). Just getting started really and had no bad experiences yet. What have you experienced and what are you concerns? Be good to chat and learn more from your point of view.

    Thanks
    Jon

    Hi Jon
We're at that same point, we done some testing but that's about it.
We've run into a few issues with getting it to work perfectly with our remote offices. The thumbnails don't like to update. Also when we were importing our current library into the system it didn't finish and everything was deleted from the directed it was placed in so we had to do it again.
that's about it at this point. Also trying to figure out how to use it with remote desktop.

    Hi Jon,
    Update
We're finally starting to roll it out.
Just ran into a few more snags. CS wasn't built to run on anything but Windows so if you're running Unix based servers (like we are, support may or may not help you)
Ran into an issue getting some families to work from type catalogs. Keep getting the error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object". I think that's a VB thing and not a revit thing.
Also if you load from a type catalog and try to use the "reload" from the project browser you won't get directed to a type catalog like in the normal process since the type catalog and the associated link to it doesn't get pulled down with the content.
I've also had several user that would have it crash when using the advanced search.
Our remote offices are experiencing slow search and open times as well as issues with getting all the thumb nails or updated thumb nails loaded.

How are things going on your end?
    Let me know.
    Thanks in advance.
