Last type in System Family "xx" cannot be deleted error

Hi Everyone,

I have a Duct Fitting family which gives me quite an interesting error when I try to load it into a project.

The error states the following:
"An error occurred in family "xx" that cannot be automatically resolved. Error information: Last type in System family "stacked wall" cannot be deleted

The family is a duct fitting (eccentric transition) which I load into an OOTB mechanical project. I am pretty sure my client downloaded the family and modified it, but I cannot understand where the error lies.

I have deleted dimension parameters, deleted formulas, deleted geometry, nested the family into a new duct fitting family, changed the category, but no luck yet. I am busy re-creating the family to save time spent on reverse-engineering the family, but I am very interested in hearing if anyone has experienced this error before and/or found a solution?

An update on the post: It seems like the most viable explanation to the problem is that either a parameter or dimension, or even the family got corrupted when it was upgraded from a previous release. One can of course AUDIT the family to get rid of most errors, but in this particular case, no joy. The journal file was a tad cryptic as well. The fastest solution was to recreate the family from scratch.
