Default Updating Civil 3D after updating point file

The titles pretty much says it all.

I have a .csv file with points on it which I plotted into Civil 3D as points. I then updated the .csv file. How do I update Civil 3D to just add the new points in rather than having to re-upload the entire file? My concern is mostly because I have formatted the points so they are not sitting on key items and made it look nice. If I re-upload the file, then it will reset all of the points and I will have to do that all over again.

    Thank you!

Updated the CSV file in what way? Adjusted point numbers or elevations or...?

My initial though it that you should have updated the points in the drawing, not the source (csv) file.
But without knowing what the edits were, I can't really say what the best practice would be here.
