Default Assembly Views Aligned to Element

Is there a way to control the alignment of assembly views? if the object(s) are orthogonaly (sic) aligned then the views are useful, however if the objects are not at 0, 90, 180, 270 degrees then the resultant assembly views are not aligned to the faces of the objects. Is it possible to have the resultant assembly section views align to the selected object (which is a somewhat subjective request of course).

In the attached rvt Curtain Panels 001 is all nice and square while Curtain Panels 002 is not, does that make any sense?
