    Default converting .atc to .xtg OR exporting tool palettes to LT

    I use AMEP 2014 but most of the others in my office utilize AutoCAD LT 2009 because my boss is cheap. I have a very nice set of tool palettes created but they are .atc files, which are not compatible with AutoCAD LT. I was reading that I could export my tool palettes from MEP to .xtg files and then import those files into the 2009 LT machines. THe problem I am having is this. When I right click on the palette in the customization tab it doesn't give me the option to "import" or "export" per the AutoCAD help menu. Please see attached image for reference. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Default Re: converting .atc to .xtg OR exporting tool palettes to LT

    Hah, I reported this bug along with screenshots of their AMEP documentation back in 2010! I noticed my 2015 doesn't have the "Export" function either, still...

    However what you can do is browse to the stored palette location;
    (Default for 2014 palette location is here:
    C:\Users\%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\MEP 2014\enu\Support

    Your tool palette location from here will depend on your option settings, and where your palettes are set to save by default, you're probably going to find them under WorkspaceCatalog AME (Global) or (IMPERIAL) folders \palettes

    Simply copy the .ATC file from here. Plain ACAD will allow you to simply drag and drop the .ATC file to the current workspace and it will attach the tool palette for use, hopefully LT works similar.

    Hope this helps some,
    Jason
