    Default AEC Dimension Styles

Newbie to this type of dimension, and I promise that I tried to search before posting this. I am trying to create multiple dimension styles in the style manager, but when I change the layer it should be on as well as the dimension style it changes the style of my others. I've tried creating a style in a different drawing and have it on the tool palette still no worky.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

    Welcome the the AUGI Forums!

I assume that you are editing the display properties when you are changing the layer. If you are doing this at the drawing default level, that will affect all AEC Dimension Styles that do not have style-level defaults. If you want different layers associated with different AEC Dimensions, you will want to create a style-level display override, so that the changes you make only affect that style.

If most of your AEC Dimensions need to go on the same layer, and only a few need to go to a small number of other layers, you might also consider leaving the display settings alone, and use Layer Keys, or Layer Key Overrides, to get the layering you want. These can be applied in the properties of a tool palette tool that is set up to use (importing, when necessary) a specific AEC Dimension Style.

I knew it was something simple I was overlooking, just forgot to set the style override.
    Thanks for the help!
