    Default Plot Object Lineweights

Is it typical to plot with the "Plot Objects Lineweights" box checked? and should the Scale Lineweights box be checked as well?
I am trying to make a standard CTB file that will still work with all of our legacy drawings.
we Print in color and only use Blue for "New" and Red for "Demo" everything else is black & gray

Typical? no. At least not in my experience. The CTB normally includes the weight each Acad color plots at on the paper.

The only time I will utilize 'object lineweight' is when using a TrueColor color, which can't be managed in a ctb.

"Scale lineweights' is used, when plotting a full size sheet at a reduced scale, e.g. AnsiD onto Tabloid paper

The CTBs that come with AutoCAD are set to plot that way since the 2000 version came out, but change is hard.

Wouldn't you already have to have a CTB that works with those legacy drawings if you've plotted them before?
    Just keep using that.
