    Default topography

I've got an AutoCAD file with good points. When viewing it in plan in Acad the points line up with the topo lines and in 3-d it looks fine.

When I import it into revit I can generate a toposurface but it comes in way over to the side of the plan (a few thousand feet).

any idea whats causing this? the points to become separate from the lines in the autocad file when they are imported

How are you inserting the file, center-to-center? origin-to-origin? If the latter, check where the x,y,z = 0,0,0 origin of the acad file is located.
