Different colours for separate polyline segments

Summary: A possibility to assign different coulors to separate segments in a polyline

Description: We use polyline in both top- and sideviews of pipelines etc.

To clarify the lay of these lines we use separate polylines with different colours for straight lines and bends.

I wish for the possibility to assign different colours to separate segment of a single polyline to indicate the location of horizontal and/or vertical bends.

Like all AutoCAD objects a polyline can only have one color, linetype, layer & plotstyle. For segments with different colors, linetypes, layers, plotstyles draw them as separate polylines. You can group them to select them with a single pick if you like, but they have to be separate objects to have separate properties.

Even if it were possible to add all the property information to every segment of a polyline it would increase the file size tenfold and make all performance gains since lwpolylines came out in r14 go away.
