Default Viewing C3D surfaces in plain AutoCAD

I have a file with Civil 3D 2015 surfaces that need to be displayed in 3d views in plain AutoCAD in conjunction with industrial equipment. I've turned on the proxygraphics "Proxyshow" variable, which displays the surface contours, but I can't get 3d views of the surface to shade or display the surface itself.

Thanks in advance for your expertise.

My understanding is that the Object Enabler will allow you to view the C3D surface in vanilla, but that you will only be able to see the surface in the style that was applied in C3D. So if the drawing was saved with the surface style set to display contour lines, that's all you'll ever see in vanilla Acad. Any different stylization would need to be applied in C3D

I know this is a bit old post but simple answer, just display the Triangle mesh in CIV3d the exporttoAutocad this will create 3dfaces these you can see in a 3d view in Autocad.
