Default Associative dimensions vs. Stretching dimensions

I'd think that the parameters stretching an object and dimension would use more memory than say a dimension associated to an object, where only the object would be stretched by the parameter.

    Pulling the dimension with it...

For complex dynamic blocks does anyone know whether or not associative dimensions would require less memory allocated to the block??

In my opinion I would stray from using dimensions and make my own dimension with a field and lines.
It seems to me like there are alot of additional properties working behind the scenes with dimensions and if you simply want a field to report the length then you can achieve the same thing with some lines set to a stretch parameter with an attribute field.
It also has the added benefit of you being able to modify each isolated element at your own will where this might not be the case with a dimension.

I've actually had an occasion when fielding an object will not work on 2015...

I know this maybe a lot to ask but if i were to message you the block I've been working on is there anyway you would be willing to see if you can see any issues?

I may take you up on that, but I worked out most of the kinks thanks
