Default Host Devices to Linked Revit Models

Summary: Manufacturer's make devices wall/ceiling based. You are unable to host to a ceiling/wall if it is in the architectural model without changing the device to face based.

Description: Allow devices to be hosted to a wall/ceiling in a linked reference file.

Default Re: Host Devices to Linked Revit Models

Workaround: place the device in an architectural model, then copy/monitor it into your MEP model. The version in your model will automatically convert to face based. Save it out and voila.
