Hi all

OK it's not my money, but it still grates when we have to throw out a perfectly good TDS400 system because Oce no longer support the controller and software for this kit.

For the size of office/print volume this system was probably overkill, but after initial setup problems it has been generally reliable/dependable.
We have used this system for a little over 10 years and the counter says 0067547 - is this linear metres?

So, on the basis that we are likely to soon be modelling and requiring colour output, where do we go for a replacement?
Oce have been taken over by Canon and the Canon range seems more "affordable", which I believe means more disposable i. e. shorter working life.

Googling the subject seems to suggest that KIP machines are the most troublesome and to be avoided.

Can anyone provide feedback from user experience on the options here please?

Can we re-use the printer and scanner without Oce's controller in the middle?

Thanks

Phil
