Default Linked model refuses to stay room bounding

    Hello AUGI,

I have a linked model that is set to Room Bounding. This inconstantly becomes none room bounding. When looking at the links type parameters, <Room Bounding> is still checked, but we're getting errors at sync that multiple rooms are in the same enclosed region, or rooms are not enclosed. Now we can reload the linked model, but this works like 50% of the time to resolve the issue. Otherwise, if we edit the links type properties, and toggle the room bounding check box it will reset the link until we save to central again.

Any thoughts? Any additional questions you might need to help diagnose?

    Thank you,
    Jeff S.

I know that a linked Revit file can have one workset assigned at the Instance level and another assigned at the Type level, which has always struck me as odd. It might be worth checking to see if the worksets are the same for both Instance and Type. By default they would be the same. Sorry, mostly shooting in the dark.

Yes, we have made sure that both instance & type worksets are set to a link specific workset.

Could be a network issue--Link path may not be found. Check Manage Links, see if it is set to Absolute.

Did you link the files from a local file or from the central?

The Cloud: A360 - Collaboration for Revit...

Our SOP is to link to Central files only. We never want people to setup a link to their local, because those locals sit on user's workstations.

    Cheers,

C4R has been having trouble with connectivity lately--do a search and there are a bunch of posts/replies from Adesk.

    Cliff,

Yes, we experienced this outage of service as well. The issue we are experiencing predates & is in addition to the C4R outage. We will continue to use the workflow of Editing the Link's type properties and toggling the room bounding check box off and on. I feel like we've experienced this issue before using our normal workflows, just not to this extents.

Any one else experience this, or have thoughts on how to resolve it?

    Thank you,
    Jeff S.

    Hello All,

I'm reviving this thread from the depths of the forum. Has anyone else experienced the issue of a linked model that is set to be "Room Bounding" becoming none room bounding? It seems like we go through the workaround every other week.

    Thank you,
    Jeff S.
