i did a little bit of searching and found a couple of older threads, but nothing current.
i have regular autocad 2014.. am using on a new dell laptop.. the fn (function) keys only worked for the standard windows media function.. in order to work inside autocad i would have to hold the fn key down and than hit F8 (like to make ortho work for example). i went into the bios and reversed the function of the fn key and the standard F commands work in autocad.. but now i have the pain in the but situation reversed.. in order to raise/lower windows volume i need 2 hands, hold down function key.
so, all that being said.. is there a way to have the function key work as it did at the beginning.. than when autocad opens it changes the use of the function key to what cad needs them to be?
i can understand 2/3/4 cad versions ago having this issue.. but have to imagine this has been addressed since the F keys are an important part of cad use
thanks for the help!
