Like a good Revit modeler I sync every 5-10 minutes, so when Revit crashes I only lose 5-10 minutes of work.
Awful thing happened today, Revit crashed at 3:41 PM, my last sync was 3:38 PM, so I wasn't too distraught. I went to my central and local files and the time stamp was 12:54, even the backups were from 12:54 or earlier. Somehow when Revit crashed it deleted everything I had back up until 12:54. No idea how this happened.
The only thing to survive the meltdown was a local backup folder that contains a few .dat files. Does anyone know:
A) What did I do to cause this, and can I stop it from happening again?
B) Can I create a new Revit file based off the .dat files from 3:38?
Thanks!
