Default Scheduling Space Name for Mechanical Equipment above a ceiling

I'm in the process of generating a Mechanical Equipment Schedule and I want to build in the Space/Room Name and Number Properties. The purpose of this is to easily see (from the drawings) what room a piece of equipment is located in. Everything works well for the equipment that is within or below the ceiling. My problem is equipment above the ceiling is not technically "in" the space but above it since the upper limit of the space is bounded by the ceiling.

Is there a way to accomplish getting the Space/Room Name & Number to show up in the schedule automatically with the equipment "above" the space?

    Thank you for your input.

set all of your spaces' Upper Limit to the Level Above +0". the ceiling (as long as the link is set to Room Bounding) will set your height for volume calc, but items above the ceiling will schedule within the room.

Setting the upper limit of the spaces will only work if the Architect makes the ceilings non-room bounding. Sometimes this is an easy request to get done, but sometimes not.

If you want to be independent of the Arch, you can edit your Mech equipment family and under Family Category and Parameters, select Room Calculation Point. This will let you drag the reference point down an arbitrary amount to catch the space definition.

Thank you both for responding in such a timely manner. Joel, I went with your suggestion and, of course, it works great. Thank you.
