Default How does this specification look?

Hello, I am looking at getting a new home workstation to run Revit on and my colleague has suggested the following spec:

Intel Xeon 1650v3 6 Core CPU
    Asus Sabertooth X99 Motherboard
    32GB DDR4 2133Mhz Memory
    NVidia Quadro K4200
    500GB Crucial MX200 SSD
    1TB SATA 6 7.2K HDD
    PSU
    Windows 10 Pro

Does anyone have any comments or other suggestions?

    Many thanks

Xeon is pretty much a non-necessary expense. A fast i7 will get more work done for less money. IIRC with xeon you must buy EEC RAM, anothger waste of money for workstations.

Personally I prefer either Samsung or Intel SSD, but crucial is good enough. Missing an optical RW drive... And, again personal opinion, but I've always had better results with good ATI/AMD graphics than any of the Nvidias I've used.

Do ensure that you have plenty of USB 3.

Ensure that your version of Revit is supported on Win 10 - if not, you'll need to downgrade the OS.

Make sure the power supply is up to all the hardware needs. High end hardware can pull a lot of power.

Seconded on both the Xeon and Quadro - probably overkill for your needs. If you're assembling this yourself ensure the motherboard supports the Xeon processor, and consider a full-size case as well. More elbow room makes for easier assembly.
