    Default Issue with dwg files

    Hello experts,
I have a dwg file that is corrupted or encrypted and I need to fix it.
Is there any tool I can use to check the integrity of the dwg files.

What makes you think it "is corrupted or encrypted"?

Have you tried to use the Recover command to open it?

You can try to use the AutoCAD built-in command "Recover", see here

Or use third-party tools such as DataNumen DWG Recovery, see here:

Don't forget to use AUDIT while in the drawing, I hit before I save.

It would help if you gave us a few clues. From what little you've told us it may simply be a newer version as you haven't provided any clue what version or vertical you're using. Putting information like that in your signature or at least in your profile makes it easier to give you relevant answers. The free DWG TrueView will open any version.

What error or alert did you get when trying to open the drawing? Is there a bak file or other version of the drawing? Compare the file sizes, if the size is smaller than it should be there's no way to recover something that isn't there anymore. You could try inserting it into a blank drawing, slightly better odds than a lottery ticket.

Unfortunately, that is like saying "My car won't run" ----- We need more details to help you.

    What exactly happens?
Are you double-clicking the DWG in Explorer and then AutoCAD opens but the drawing does not?
Are you opening AutoCAD first and then using the OPEN command to select the file?
    Then what happens?
    Nothing?
Does it start to open and then you get a Fatal Error?
Does it start to open and then you get an error message?
Does it open up fully, and then you get an error or fatal error?

Can you post the DWG file here so that someone else can try it?
Do you have a BAK file to test to see if it opens?
Do you have an Autosave (SV$) or autosave backup (BAK) file to test to see if it opens?

Maybe a quick check suggested by the principal themselves with various steps

Otherwise, try using DWG Recovery Toolbox s/w just to make the file legitimacy for recovery chances of prev copies.
Hopefully from Autocad autosave by default, it should have saved dwg file automatically with ac$ as default extension, and if we can just find the *.ac$ file and change ac$ to dwg. There may be slight chance. The AutoCAD's autosave file is saved in this folder: C:\Users\[User Name]\appdata\local\temp\. typically.
