Creating Family Sub Categories

Hi guys,

Using Revit 2013, how do I create a family that goes into a sub category in the families section in the project browser window like the default families do?

All equipment I make at the moment is Mechanical Equipment but I can't find a way of narrowing that down to things like 'Heat Recovery Unit' or AHU or Roof Cowls .etc. Is there a way to do this? Everything I make goes into the same mixing pot under the 'Mechanical Equipment' heading and it gets a bit messy.

I can now see that if there is more than one family type (either in a type catalogue or embedded in the family file) then the different types get put into the drop downs. Shame the heading cant be changed to something other than the file name. i.e.

-Mechanical Equipment
___- HRUs
_______-HeatAir DEF Unit
____________DEF23-LE
____________DEF23-XE

___- AHUs
_______-HeatAir TEX Unit
____________TEX56TT-3
____________TEX68TT-3
_______-HeatAir FAM unit
___________FAM-ILT3
____________FAM-EET28
