Our IT department is looking to roll out Microsoft surfaces to everyone in the company (from admin to 3D designer). They are currently rolling out the 3's and it sound like they will start rolling out the 4's soon. From what I have seen with doing CAD work on the surface 3's I am less than impressed, especially when you get to the 3D world. They seem to be a little glitchy and get really hot really quick. I am sure the surfaces are fine for everyone else in the company, but I am thinking it is not the wisest move for designers. What has been the experience with others using surfaces for CAD work? We use Navisworks, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and Revit mostly.
Thanks!
