Default Masking Region Issue or Limitation?

Here’s one that really got me in a quandary; hope one of you Revit brainiacs can help me figure it out.

Why is a Masking Region that behind the Cut View obscuring elements in front of the Cut View?

Here’s the scenario: I’ve got a Window family with 2 Masking Regions sketched on the stock “Right” and “Left” Work Planes. Inset from each of these two Work Planes is another named Work Plane on which I have sketched line work (Model Lines or Symbolic Lines; doesn’t matter) that will display in front of the Masking Region (in cut view). But the problem is that the Masking Region that is behind the cut view hides this line work that is in front of the cut view. If I remove the Masking Region behind the view, the line work in front of view displays accurately. What gives? I’ve replicated this issue on two workstations with recreated families. Is there a “one limit rule” on the number of Masking Regions you can have in a single family?

Edit: Based on some feedback I have received through other forum sites, I am uploading a example Revit file to help clarify this issue I'm having. I look forward to your feedback. Thank you.

Default Re: Masking Region Issue or Limitation?

It would say it has to do with the fact that the window family category is cuttable and it takes into account the masking region when the family is being cut. If you change that to for say mechanical equipment I'm sure it will act differently.
