Question how to set up title block with types in revit

    Hi,

I'm trying to set up standard title block (Family) with different types in it (ex.11x17 Sheet, 30x42 Sheet, 24x46 Sheet) in Revit 2015. I found that when I add a type that changes the height of the sheet to a different one, the text in title block doesn't move and there is no way to set a parameter for a text or a logo to offset it from the border. Please, advise on how to approach it.

I've not seen a way to lock text to a reference in order to make it move as the sheet size changes. But it works just fine to make separate families for each sheet size. With all the sheet families loaded into a project, the process of changing them for the sizes isn't really different than if you have types. It just makes it harder to change them on the fly.

If you really want one family with types for different size sheets, then you will need visibility parameters to control what gets seen with each type.

Or, you could use nested families, one for each sheet size, and set up a family parameter to allow each type to show one particular nested family.

I would just go with separate families for separate sizes, as CAtDiva suggested.

Thank you all for your replies. I think I'm going to stick with separate family for each sheet type.
