    Default How to add license

    Folks. New to the Forum
I downloaded Revit 2017 and have an educational license.
However, Revit is ONLY opening in Viewer, and I have no option to add my license.

Went to autodesk help forum. And this is the fix below. But, I haven't the foggiest idea where these files are on my PC and I've done a search. Can someone interpret for me?

    Issue:
When you launch Revit 2017 on your computer, it checks out Autodesk Building Design Suite Premium 2017 network license from your license server, but the program opens in a viewer mode.
    Causes:
This issue could happen if A DSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE value key under H KEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\FLEXlm License Manager registry key, is corrupted.
    Solution:
To resolve the issue, delete A DSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE value key under H KEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\FLEXlm License Manager registry key, and start Revit 2017.
    Products:
    Revit Products
    Versions:
    2017

Hi! Welcome to AUGI and congrats on making your first post!

I've moved your question from the CAD Management forum to this Revit subforum, as I think you'll be better served here.

    Cheers,

You almost certainly have an answer by now, but for the benefit of the group:

All that information can be found with a REGEDIT.

This is one way to open Registry Editor in Windows 10.

1 In the search box on the taskbar, type regedit.
2 Select the top result, regedit Run command.

    This is another.

1 Right-click Start Windows logo Start button, then select Run.
2 Enter regedit in the Open: box and select OK.
