    Question Skidmarks from blocks?

I´m working on a drawing of a parking lot and have inserted some blocks/symbols for smoke detectors.
I plotted the drawing just to see how it looked and it seems that the lines dividing the parking spaces have some faded lines with a size matching the smoke detector symbols,
is this a printer problem? Any clue whats causing this?

    I´ve got an HP LaserJet CP5225n printer/plotter

    Scanned plotted drawing:skid.jpeg
    Scanned plotted drawing:skid2.jpeg
    JPG from AutoCAD drawing: skid3.jpg

Edit: I´ve done some trial and error and found out a workaround, kind of.

The symbols for the smoke detectors has a white(true color 255, 255, 255) hatch to make shure the background of the symbol is still white even when over a geometry, but if I remove the hatch the problem disappears as well, only thing is that it would be nice to have that hatch so that the symbol is easier to see. No idea why the hatch causing such trouble when plotting

Why not just change it to color 7 which typically plots black? If you're using a CTB true colors plot just like they look and no ink is used to plot white.

I´m not quite shure I understood what you meant, change the hatch color to color 7 and go to Color 7 inside the Plot Style and change "Color" in Color 7 to "Use object color"?

Ekstra info: I´ve got AutoCAD LT for Mac.

Are you using a CTB or STB plot style? A CTB only controls AutoCAD's origional 255 colors including color 7 as white/black and simply plots true colors as they are. Can you attach the plot style you're using? Do you want the hatch to plot as white, black or shaded?
