    Default Reference Line Rotation Issue

    I tried to use this method but I couldn't make it work properly. The Reference Line moves (translation, not rotation) from the origin as soon as I give it another angle via Family Types. Another weird thing that's happening is that when I give an angle of, say, 45º in relation to the horizontal reference plane, the Reference Line is mirrored in relation to both the horizontal and vertical reference planes (although it gets the angle right in that quadrant).

    Does anyone have any idea of what's happening?

    I've tried the following methods:

    - Constrain the Ref Line to the origin and then group;
    - Constrain the Ref Line to the origin and constrain the group to the origin;
    - Add the Angled Dimension either to the Ref Line or to the group or both;
    - Place the group origin on the Family origin;
    - Rotate the group origin;
    - Leave the group origin on the original place.

    Sketch the Reference Line (not Plane) from the origin
    Align (and Lock) the Endpoint of the Reference Line to each Reference plane; Center (Front/Back) and Center (Left/Right)
    Add your angular dimension and associate your angle parameter to it.

    Thank you for your answer, however, my issue isn't with getting the Ref Line to rotate with a parameter but constraining it to the origin when I group it with a Text or a Label. Or even when all I have in that group is the Ref Line. As soon as I group the Ref Line, it starts behaving oddly, moving away from the origin, and I can't get it to rotate the way I want to. This is why I replayed to the topic where they suggest the "group Ref Line with Label and angle parameter" method.

    What are you trying to make? You don't say what category family you are using. I didn't see a reference to another thread, was there a link?

    Well, this post is almost a year old, but I am having the same issue and need to figure it out.

    I can get a Reference Line to rotate by itself.
    But, make it a Group and chaos ensues.
    I've had it flip 180 degrees...move origin...this one just refuses to budge.

    Any help would be appreciated.
