    Default Streching Alignment

    Hi people.
I have an straigh line (2 points) alignment.
The lenght of the alignement is 300m
Is there any command that would automaticly shorten the aligment to lets say 230m or strech it to 330m?
I could use the polyline tool and than manualy move the points of the alignemet...but any more sophisticated solution?
    Thank you.

I typically just adjust the alignments with my grips. With the use of dynamic input, you can simply type the length that you would like to stretch the alignment and it will adjust the alignment to that length.

However, if you had created a sub-entity (multiple lines) to your alignment you could simply just delete that from the alignment and it would adjust it. It is really easy to access the alignment modification/creation tools from the ribbon for modifying alignments.

    Solved it.
Seems that you MUST use the "FROM" or "basepoint option" to do this.

    Yes that is an option.

It was kinda my fault, I wasnt clear enough. So basically if I have an alignment and I want to add 50 feet to it, I type in the 50.
So my alignment is 200, I want to extend it 50, I type in 50, or the negative (-)50 to shorten the line.

I believe this works if you are using both relative or absolute coordinates too.
