I'm trying to create a brise soleil family that has a 45-degree miter at the end to allow wrapping at the corners.
In order to build in the dimensional flexibility I wanted, am using a nested bar family that will allow the arrays to function properly. I tried using extrusions and sweeps directly in the overall brise soleil family, but could not get them to array properly.
The problem that I'm having is that creating a void object in the family will not cut the nested bars, only the in-family frame objects.
This seems like a bit of a Catch-22: I can only get the arrays to work properly if I use a nested family, but I can't make the "miter cut" of the array of nested family objects.
Any help y'all could provide would be greatly appreciated. I've attached my effort thus far. Thanks.
