Default Bim level 2 DWT file

    Hi Guys
Im in the middle of setting up a DWT for bim level 2 to try and facilitate the transfer of layers between Revit and Autocad. Are any of you doing the same thing? if not how are you handling the layer names and the transfer between Autocad and Revit. Also how are you handling the blocks and dynamic blocks and there naming conventions

For exporting out to DWG I used a very verbose table in the Modify DWG/DXF Export Setup dialog. Example, Floor_CommonEdges. Then in AutoCAD have a very long, DWS listing every element type in Revit and how that layer should be renamed and often bundled into a more abridged layer list in AutoCAD.

For importing, basically, not allowed. Importing a DWG into Revit brings so much junk that we avoid like the plague.

Lastly, it isn't hard to rename blocks via SCR or LSP in AutoCAD to whatever standard you have to follow.
    Take care,

There is a third party program called Ideate Bim Explorer that can help clean up and prevent this glut of data being dumped intro a model. Might be just what you're looking for.
