Default Revit Schedule Field value problem

I am working with Revit 2016 and trying to create a Structural schedule. I have been told to create a column for rebar and the value is #4 @ 1'-0" - but when I enter that value in the schedule field I get an error saying I need to start a formula with the = sign, and if I put an = sign it tells me this is not a formula. So how do I specify that this is a TEXT string and get it entered into the schedule? Any help would be appreciated

    Welcome to the forums.
Make sure when you are defining the parameter that you set the correct parameter type (number, length, text etc). For a value such as this Text is the only option that will work.
