Angry Repathing xref with DBX acts erratic

    Hi everyone,

I can really use your help.
I wrote a routine to repath specific xrefs to groups of drawings saved in the same folder (project folder).
Depending on how the drawing was open, through ACAD or double click in windows explorer, the routine acts differently.

    how its suppose to work:
-User opens one drawing from project folder where they want the repathing done.
--calls the routine, prompts for name of xref
--prompts to select location of new path of xref.
--routine uses current drawing location to find other drawings in the folder, opens them using Object DBX to update the path for that xref.
    --Saves
    --Exit

But it doesn't always saves if the drawing was opened using autocad, but it works every time if I open the drawing by double clicking in explorer.
I can't figure out why it is do that.

    Can anyone help?

    thanks in advance

    Vito

Why not just use Reference Manager?

You're welcome, vlee; I'm happy to help.

If/when Reference Manager proves to be incapable of what you're wanting to do, you might consider Tim's excellent work here.

    Cheers
