How to? Break line extending beyond crop view

Newer to revit. I am looking to crop an interior elevation view at the finish surfaces of a room. I also need to add a break line for one side, however I can't seem to find a way to get the break line itself to extend beyond the crop view by a small amount. Is this possible?

No, it is not possible to get the break line to extend beyond the crop. Break lines are detail components and detail components are cropped along with 3d geometry.

I have stopped using break lines nearly as often as I did in CAD, letting the lines of the view just stop seems to be enough of an indication. I haven't had any problems with consultants or contractors where the lack of a break line has caused issues, yet.

If you add a masking region to your breakline, then it will mask the model behind it so it could be placed within the crop
