    Question Graphic card for AGP

Want do you think about this machine?

    HP Evo d330 - Intel (865G motherboard)
    P4 2.8C
    1.5Gb PC3200
80 Gb PATA-100 WD as system disk
200 Gb PATA-100 Maxtor as data disk
    HP DVD/CD-RW Combo
    Pioneer dvr108 DVD-+R/RW
Dual monitor Sony SDM204-s204 20"TFT and Samsung SyncMaster 765MB 17"CRT

Nvidia Quadro FX3000 Graphics board ?

I´m looking for upgrade the graphics because I have an 3Dlabs Wildcat VP880 Pro and I hate it. A lot of Blue screen of death and problems with ADT.

Could it be an stable system for ADT2005 and 3ds Max6 SP1?
What do you thing about this board?

Sounds like an ok computer. I have one of the pioneer dvd burner and Im
not too impressed.........Ive ruined quite a few DVDs so far.
This system has 2 hard drives???? Fastest drive configuration Ive seen
is raid, if thats not what you have, it could be better.
Intel motherboards are great.....Im betting the system has tons of USB/Firewire
    ports. .

You have to watch with your RAID configuration. Yes RAID 0 will increase the disk writes but at the expense of integrity. RAID 1 will give you the backup at the expense of disk space. You also have to watch that most IDE disks weren't designed around RAID and there are reports of RAID controllers marking disk as bad when there's nothing wrong with them.

RAID 0 will give you better throughput but if one of the disks fail you loose all the data. If it's a workstation you're after a better policy would be to backup the data or better still don't store anything on the local disk and use the network backup. Saying that Your 200GB data disk (remember and get the LBA48 (47) support sorted out or you'll be left with a 137GB disk) should get backed up daily or more.

I have the pioneer 107 dvd burner. I love this thing. Have had it for a year and haven't made one coaster yet.

The rest of the system looks good.

    It's an student workstation:
Disk system have only software in order to reinstall when an experiment be wrong. There is a back up of one good config in the data disk.

Disk with data have tons of mp3,videos and photos with DVD or CD copies of it and a directory of work drawings that I backup once a day in an extern 1.3Gb Magneto-Optical disk (good to write a lot of times in it) or a DVD (for old data that I don't use) and copies in an external hard drive. If I lost data I think nobody could have data in a computer.
