    Default Civil 3D crashing

We have updated to Windows 10. I noticed a bit of difficulty getting Civil 3d as the default program for project files. After constant crashes and using "control alt delete/task manager" numerous times it has occurred to me that when I do end the task that the Icon the files are running in is the Regular red AutoCAD Icon not the Blue Civil 3D Imperial Icon. Is there a possibility that is an issue? We have 4 Civil 3d users. and Civil 3d is crashing on us much more than just an occasional file that needed auditing like before Windows 10.

uhm... what version of c3d? from at least 2014 on, the acad.exe that civil3d runs is the same one used by the 'Run as Acad' shortcut, and the native icon for that is the red one. The blue on is just fir the shortcut.

Ok, I really did doubt my first suggestion but we really are seeing C3D 2016 crash way to much. I have 6yrs cumulative 3D experience so I have learned personally how to not make C3D so unhappy where I still see a lot of users that don't have quite the finesse and there desktop C3D crashes on them frequently where I have not had a fraction of their issues. Since Windows 10 though I am crashing a lot. Sure wish I knew what to troubleshoot.

Win10x64 here for the past +/- 10 months, and no real issues - with exception to a .NET/C++ problem resulting from MS O365 upgrade (I suspect), which cause an unhandled exception fatal error opening any drawing.

That said, and to reiterate, Win10 has otherwise been fantastic, IMHO.
