    Question Saving Revisions

We are a small company working on our first Revit project. Usually (using AutoCAD) when issuing drawings we, like most, save a copy of the DWG file and bind all xrefs so that we have a 'snapshot' of that particular drawing issue should we need to revert to if for some reason. I'm sure this must have been asked before but how do you achieve this with Revit? As far as I can see we will need to make a copy of the whole Revit model every time we issue a drawing! How do you guys do it?

Correct, best way is to make a copy of the RVT file.

I like using ETransmit (add-on available to subscription customers) to package Revit models for archiving and/or giving to consultants.

(I also used ACA's e-transmit for the same purpose as I could choose what to explode/bind/organize/etc.)
