Default Increase size of MODEMACRO bar

I'm not sure when this changed, but the MODEMACRO bar no longer extends all the way across the bottom of my window - I have a large DIESEL command to display all my different scales, text settings, layers, etc...., but it gets cut off - see the attached image.

Is there a command to extend it further to the left?

    Thanks!

Not that I am aware of, no.

Perhaps this UI change came about the same time as the 'new and improved', auto-resizing Command Line, which is also a complete PITA.

Yeah, Autodesk thinks we need our hand held because we are not smart enough to manage the status bar ourselves.
First it was the forced icons (no more TEXT), then this.....

Let ME decide how large or small I want things. If I want 24pt TEXT in the status bar buttons, then just do it.
If I want icons, then let me do that (my only choice now).

This theme has translated over to sales.
No more perpetual licenses, rental only.
    No more choice.

Careful there, you're starting to sound like me.

... And you're entirely correct, BTW.

I have been saying that for years. Ever since they been telling me how much I would like Civil3D. Civil3D still leaves much to be desired LDD was much better.

The width required for my MODEMACRO in the Status Bar varies depending on if Osnaps are on/off. When I toggle them on I have to regen for the Status Bar to show everything. Regen may help you as well. A reactor may be of help for this.

C3D has a lot of holes and a lot to be desired, but it's light years ahead of LDT.

Tom, thank you for the response, but it unfortunately did not help. I wasn't clear in my original post, but this is for AutoCAD MEP 2017 (though I think this was also the case for 2016 and 2015) I couldn't find an answer when I looked a few years back, but just let it go. I was hoping someone had solved it since then, but looks like no luck.

I've tried turning on/off everything in the status bar to no effect - including the layout and model tabs. It stubbornly refuses to cooperate. Thanks everyone for the advice - guess I will just live with it as is.

Civil 3D is _really_ good at some task - it is, hands down - and LDT on a WinXPx86 box is still faster than C3D on Win10x64 at basic plans production, opening large drawings, etc which just breaks my little heart.

If they'd just have retained external DB (with appropriate changes), and implemented a means by which to only open Objects during edit/rebuild/sync, with an appropriate notification for stale objects, leaving them as dumb blocks otherwise during open, etc. we'd actually have _real_ productivity gain.

No more time consuming auto-syncing each-and-every-single object on open (unless there's a stale ref, which user can define which sheets are to auto-update?)... No more upgrading COGO on open (even though same version?)... And distributing drawings / interop w/vanilla AutoCAD would be lemon squeezy.

    It's very sad, this. *sigh*
